ENGAGE CONSULT - OUR NEW E-CONSULTATION SERVICE
Available 24 Hours Per Day, 7 Days per Week!
The practice is currently experiencing a large increase in the number of telephone calls that we receive each day. This is resulting in patients having to queue for longer on the phones. To help with this, we are asking as many patients as possible to use our E-Consultation service - Engage Consult.
To use this service, click on the banner below, and then sign up to the service.
This allows you to send messages to the surgery from your laptop, smartphone, or PC at any time of the day or night, and it can be done 7 days per week. When the practice receives a message, a response will be sent within a few hours, (except when it is a bank holiday or when the practice is closed.)
You can send us prescription queries, requests for sick notes and any routine medical matter, or any admin queries. A clinician will then look at your request, and respond on the same day, normally within a few hours.

A few people are getting confused between Engage Consult and SystmOnline.
Please see below for an explanation about what you can use each portal for.
This is our online consultation service. This is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week and you can send messages to the surgery from your PC, smartphone or tablet. By using this service, it means you do not have to be holding in a queue on the phone. This will help alleviate the large volumes of call traffic that we have coming into surgery during this current climate.
You can sign up to our portal at: Engage Consult or click on the Engage Consult banner above.
You can also click on the Patient User Guides above if you have any questions on how to use this service.
Once you sign up, you can send a message to the surgery. You can book consultations for routine medical matters, request sick notes, and send us prescription queries. Normally you will get a response within a few hours. (except when the surgery is closed at the weekend, or during Bank Holidays.
If you are sending a query about a routine medical matter, it is important that you answer any questions regarding your condition, so that a clinician can be given this information, before they give you a call back.
This is our portal which allows you to order your own prescriptions, book appointments (once we are open again) and you can also submit prescription requests. This portal cannot be used to ask for help with any routine medical matters or request sick notes. You can also request access to view your own medical record.
To use this portal, you need to provide us with some ID, and we would then send you a username and a password.
This is separate to the password that you need to log onto the Engage Consult portal mentioned above. However, if you have access to the Engage Consult portal, you then click on the SystmOnline portal.
Please note the passwords and username for both Engage Consult and SystmOnline are completely different.
Please also note, you must NOT use either of these portals for emergencies.

Telephone Consultations take place every morning at all three Caritas sites. We have surgeries running every morning and afternoon and evening at our Main Site and a long consolidated surgery running at both our Branch Sites.

The clinicians at Caritas Group have a wide range of skills and qualifications to provide high quality care. We work as a team and assess which clinician has the most appropriate skill for every individual patient's presenting problem. By working in this way we are able to ensure that each individual has their needs met by the most suitable clinician.
Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
We have a range of clinicians who, as well as their clinical work, undertake teaching and assessment of other healthcare practitioners. These include qualified nurses, doctors and nursing/medical students who are undertaking professional education and training courses. At all times trainees are supervised by a senior clinician.
We can provide excellent learning experiences in the practice and we hope that patients will be pleased to be part of this. You will always be asked if you consent to having a student/trainee present during a consultation.
Occasionally a clinician may want to video record his/her consultations for study to help them improve their skills; again you will be asked if you consent to this, and you are free to say no.
